A classic!!! Can't wait for the movie!

Comforting chick lit. "Bird Shot" is the best of the bunch. It kind of drags near the end, but the last story is intriguingly surreal. It's nice reading stories where the characters are genuinely good people and you want good stuff to happen to them, you know? I'll put this next to Melissa Banks on my shelf.

This is the best book I have read on the Civil Rights movement. Every social studies class and history class should read this book. Claudette Colvin is a real hero for young people everywhere! Reading this book gives you a whole new perspective on the Civil Rights movement.
