I enjoyed reading about all the different characters and my heart went out to Julia and Mark who were trying to conceive but weren't able to. My husband and I are having infertility issues also this really hit home. However, knowing that their relationship wasn't a great one, I was happy that they didn't bring a child into the world. I enjoyed the little vignettes about the different characters but wish we would have went back to Julia when she was in New York and decided to stay.

This was my first John Grisham book and I can't say that I was impressed. I felt defeated when reading this book. They put so much energy intot he characters and it was a huge let down.

"It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your own home for this is where our love for each other must start." "We impatiently await God's paradise, but we have in our hands the power to be in paradise right here and now. Being happy with God means this: to love as he loves, to help as he helps, to give as he gives, to serve as he serves." "If you have learned how to pray, then I am not afraid for you. If you know how to pray, then you will love prayer -- and if you love to pray, then you will pray. Knowledge will lead to love and love to service." I enjoy the words of Mother Teresa. She was an amazing and good woman.

** spoiler alert ** This book had me changing my mind for the entire ride. I was so confused at the ending of the last book, and then I was mad at Katniss for being so whiny and uncooperative. She said she was upset about all the people who lost their lives, yet wants to abandon the cause and run away.. but then all those people would die in vein! I was so upset over Peeta as well - how the capitol could have tortured him to the point that he was no longer the Peeta we all know and love - really tore at me. I cant beiieve how many characters Collins killed off - I was really surprised at Finnick, not to mention Prim - the very reason this whole thing started. And the Presidents! Ahh! Theyre all corrupt! Totally didnt see that one. I am happy that she ended up with Peeta though, and it was kind of fitting that they both broken, end up together to become whole. I am sad to see it over, it was a great series.
