I feel like i expected too much from this book. It ended alright. But overall this series was pretty good. and i was sort of hoping for a better conclusion to the series but that's okay. i'm still glad i read it to finish the series.

I discovered this in my college's library's piddly juvenile collection during exam week of my freshman year. Serious coming-of-age story featuring Polly O'Keefe and Zachary Gray (yes, from the Vicky Austin books). I reread it during many subsequent exam weeks and now own it so I can reread it whenever I want. Rereading again in December, 2012. I can see all the problems others have with it. But the book still works for me. Sometimes a judicious amount of suspended disbelief makes a story work where it wouldn't otherwise.
