I absolutely love this book - all about girl power. I think Kate Chopin is a fantastic writer... her short stories are incredible. Chopin is all about strong female characters, which is why I love her so much, and The Awakening definitely has that. The women in her stories will stop at nothing for what makes them happy or what feels right for them, and I think it is very important for women of all ages to read her stories and to understand that they, too, can be as strong and independent as they want to be.

I loved the poetic form of this book. After the situations got worse, I was oblivious to it. The life of this girl is like a bad train wreck that you can't look away from
