Among the Hidden was a very intense book and that is one of the reasons why I liked it. The author wrote a lot of details, and it was every entertaining.

Great fun.

** spoiler alert ** Well, I had a lapse of judgment and sat down and read for 9 hours...my eyes were bleary and my head throbbing by the time I finally put it down. Nearly done by the way. This book read very quickly for me, all in all it took about 10 hours to read cover to cover. I liked this story a LOT better than the first of the saga, Bella seems to be becoming a richer character. In book one she didn't seem so dimensional as she does in New Moon. Although I didn't care for the whole Jake thing, I could see how it was a nice filler for the absence of Edward and to wake up Bella from her depression.

I'm sorta sorry I'm borrowing this one. I think I'd like to read it again at some point. Poignant without getting too sappy, and insightful for all of us, drinkers or not.
