This is such a hard book for me to rate with complete stars. It's 6 out of 5 for prose. But the plot. Seriously? I thought for sure monopedal martians were going to land near the end and introduce him to his father on their ship. Okay, so it's not that improbable, but it's strained. Beautifully, poetically strained.
