Prachtig. Atwood schrijft zo mooi: heel associatief, met heel scherpe beelden. En het heeft een van de mooiste beginzinnen die ik ken: We slept in what had once been the gymnasium. Ook: een oprecht eng boek. Een dystopie waar vruchtbaarheid en seksualiteit voor de elite is weggelegd. Ik ga deze nog lang met me meedragen.

This book was wonderful...but sad. If you're looking for something uplifting, keep looking.

I did not like this book when it was a set text for Year 10. I might have another go at it one day. Perhaps another perspective will help.

i dont' usually like first person narratives, but it works on this. great story from Jacob's view point, its a sweet yet highly erotic story of awakening sexuality. i really liked the natural and real feel to the writing and will be reading more from Darcy Sweet.

Probably one of my favorite HP books!
