Plot: Kate’s a PR assistant and through emails, answerphone and instant messages, scribbled notes on menus and letters from the boss, she tells the story of her struggle against the unfairness in the workplace, whilst she discovers a whole new breed of man. Characters: Kate’s lovely, Amy or the T.O.D is not. Mitch is lovely, a real proper gentleman. And Kate’s friend Jen is lovely, sticking by her and making it all right at the end. Style Of Writing: I didn’t think I’d like it, given that it’s not really writing, it’s more a hotch potch of messages telling a story, but it’s actually really interesting. Sometimes the format seems a bit forced, and it can be hard to know who is saying what. It is quick and fund to read, though. Overall Opinion: I liked it, didn’t take long to get through. Recommended If: You want a break from the regular styles of writing and something that’ll occupy you for a bit, if not long.
