I read this at a friend's recommendation and I really enjoyed it. The story of a woman's journey into adulthood reminded me of She's Come Undone, but the character's and plot lines are very different.

A little more detailed that I needed or wanted. I think Bill Bryson is a good researcher but I lost interest in some of the details. I enjoy his work when it is more autobiographical.

4 paws up! Orville is more than the world's ugliest dog and a survivor in a world that abandoned him. He makes connections for the most unlikely of people.
