Barbara Delinsky is usually a fun summer read. Lately our weather has been crazy, and I needed to feel like the beach was near. Just in the nick of time, there it was...Barbara's latest. Before writing Delinsky worked in the cultural anthropology field. Her background seems to come through in her fiction. I enjoy the way she creates the family relationships. I enjoyed this book. It was a nice escape for me this week.

One of those chance matches to recently read Der Fuehrer. Both books were chosen at random but the scaffolding effect makes Ship of Fools so much more powerful a read.
