So far this book is very, very slow moving and dry. I have taken a time out from reading it, but I shall return to it. I am determined to see this book through!
Twists and turns, lot of interesting characters, a little bit of blood and murder ... all in all a fun read.
Every book written by Nicholas Sparks offers something rare and special that it's sometimes quite hard to put a finger about what specifically is in this book that makes those qualities present. Is it the way the author drops a question and offering to answer it in the end? or the way his characters seem to exist in a very vivid manner as if they're not only fictional characters but real, alive persons recalling their story to you? or the way the plot is spread to the reader in a very good puzzling manner and encourages readers to figure out something, to put those pieces together and surprise them just the same because the plot just twists into something unexpected, but still makes a reader feel that he's been reading a smooth light book? or the breathtaking descriptions about small town life that makes the reader dream about living in such a place and experiencing love in such a little town...? and most especially, the prospect of true love and that it happens when you least expect it and that in love, time doesn't matter? Those may be some things that makes you gripping for something more... Fortunately, there's 'At First Sight', the sequel... ^_~
