Another magical book but so cute. I think overall of the book is fab. I will read her books. She already wrote third book! Can't wait to read the book. A recommendation for people who like cutesty, light sense of humour, and magical. Oh yeah, the book has some reality issues such as abusive relationship, a bad relationship between mother and daughter, cheating, affairs, etc.. if you don't mind those issuses then go ahead read this book. :)
A really great love story, I must say that i like it. It is a book that I probably would like to read again some time, I understand when people write in a review that they'll read this book as many times as Pride and Prejudice as the highest phrase. But as a knew that it was a love story I soon guessed who Elizabeth would end up with.
Im on a bit of a reading streak atm. This is another book that I absolutely LOVED!!! The plot moves along at a nice pace, the characters are dynamic, the imagery is amazing, and the romance is oh, so sweet! The year is 1871, and Tiki has been making a home for herself and her family of orphans in a deserted hideaway adjoining Charing Cross Station in central London. Their only means of survival is by picking pockets. One December night, Tiki steals a ring, and sets off a chain of events that could lead to all-out war with the Fey. For the ring belongs to Queen Victoria, and it binds the rulers of England and the realm of Faerie to peace. With the ring missing, a rebel group of faeries hopes to break the treaty with dark magic and blood—Tiki’s blood. Unbeknownst to Tiki, she is being watched—and protected—by Rieker, a fellow thief who suspects she is involved in the disappearance of the ring. Rieker has secrets of his own, and Tiki is not all that she appears to be. Her very existence haunts Prince Leopold, the Queen’s son, who is driven to know more about the mysterious mark that encircles her wrist. Prince, pauper, and thief—all must work together to secure the treaty… So Tiki is a pick pocket, who has her little family of street kids. It was cute how these kids formed their own little family, and made a home for themselves. They all play a part in the overall plot. I loved Hamilton's writing style. She sweeps you from the gritty street of London to the opulence of the upper class society. It was interesting to see how both of these worlds regarded each other, and the attitudes that form from this. There was also a little bit of a cinderella story woven in with this story, which I loved! The romance between Tiki and Reiker is slow to come to realisation, but when it does, these two make a perfect couple. I adored this book, and cannot wait for the next one!
