I absolutely loved this book! It was fast-paced and full of very cool, dangerous and creepy characters. I don't think I'd want to live in the land of Nevernever, however; almost everywhere you turn, there is danger, threats and death from the fey inhabitants. Meghan was a very likeable character. She wasn't whiny or weak, which I absolutely detest in female protagonists. Despite all the challenges and threats thrown her way, she remained strong and steadfast in her determination to rescue her young brother. I had to feel sorry for her, too. What a way to celebrate your sweet sixteen birthday! Grimalkin was my second favourite character, a typical sarcastic and arrogant feline but one possessing atypical magical abilities. I also liked Puck and Ash, but thought the relationship between Meghan and Ash was a little rushed. However, that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book at all. I will definitely read "The Iron Daughter" and the rest of the series.
