I liked how each section focused on one of the children and how the last section focused on the mother and brought it all together. great development of each of the characters.

This book has so many different facets. It starts out in Brazil with Anna at an orphanage and Lucas is a doctor. They both fly back with Paulo, an orphan who needs a heart transplant. Anna is running from her past as an FBI agent. They had put away a man on tax evasion but she knows that he also committed murder. When she receives a threat, she assumes the man is about to get out of jail. Lucas is returning to a father he has an estranged relationship with as he feels his brothers death was his fault and that his father blames him as well. Love, medical issues, suspense, murder...this book has it all!

Great book. Great read. Beautifully written.
