Pretty good follow-up to the first book. Mary and James's encounters aren't as cute and fun as they were in the first. Overall the details of Victorian London life and workers were interesting but were nearly overshadowed by Mary's struggles to deal with her cultural identity.
This is book 2 in the Cedar Cove series. Some questions are answered from the first installment and others remain to be solved in later books. I look forward to reading more in this series.
