Picked this up at the resort library on vacation because it was the only book in a language I understand (the others were Russian, German and [I think:] Swedish). Beginning with trepidation as someone whose opinion I much respect said it is really, really bad... ETA: got 3 pages in and had to suppress urge to burn it. Inexcusably bad to that point.
