This book is about Claire and Massie having a despite over shopping too much/shopping to little and make a bet. They also have a halloween party, and they go as Dirty Devils, and then the school decided to get Uniforms. Massie had an idea to make it a contest, and Alicia makes a different group in the contest, and cheats in order to win. Massie finds out, and makes sure that the uniform idea gets canceled. The End. Great book.
THE FUNNIEST, MOST SCATHINGLY HILARIOUS BOOK EVER!!! BUY IT!!!
This is a great book about the rise of Disney over the last 25 years. Some may view it as a hatchet job on Eisner but I believe it is a fair book to all of the parties. I would like to read a Disney Wars II if the author ever decides to tackle the subject again.
I don't have time to read grown up books at the moment so I'm rereading some children's books... But wait a minute, what the hell am I complaining about? It's Roald Dahl for crying out loud! Brilliant and the perfect story for where I am right now!
My take-away from this book is that near the end, he talks about how teachers wrote on his report card comments like, "keeps to himself, prefers to be alone." In reality he never preferred to be alone; he just didn't know how to talk to other children. The anecdotes throughout the book about how most people converse, vs. how Robison would respond in conversation, gave me some insight into the students with autism spectrum disorders who I work with.
