Not nearly as good as his New Yorker articles. I found it to be too dumbed-down and preachy.

I had high hopes for this book, because I loved the idea behind it, but was disappointed. The characters are interesting, but something about the narrative or the tone prevented me from really caring about what happened to them. Towards the end it felt like a chore to finish the book.
