Can't wait for the saga to continue.
I had mixed feelings about "Ringworld" at first. The first couple of chapters seem like a lighthearted adventure. I liked this. But, when the main characters left Earth, it got pretty heavy on the techno-babble. It strongly slowed the book down for me, but I was able to get past it. Once I did, the story was a whole lot of fun, gradually getting darker as the plot progressed. It evolved into a survival story that made me think about technological and psychological philosophies that I had never thought of before. The characters were unique and reasonably complex at first. Eventually I changed my opinions of them. If you like classic science fiction that still presents something new to the table you'll definitely enjoy "Ringworld" by Larry Niven.
