The plot center was the romance. She loves them and they love her and have since they were children. But the idea of four-way relationship scares her. They're OK with the four-way because they know she would never pick one of them over the others. That she's a cop in a small town complicates matters even further. The whole killer/revenge plot is a frill - buried amidst the 'could I/would they/should we' that ricochets around the book. I would have liked it better if it was the other way around... Lots of sex scenes - but not so much sexual tension. And sex without sexual tension between the characters is only mechanics - sort of the difference between driving a race car and reading the operator's manual for it...
