i dont normally write out reviews, i just give stars, but this is a book everyone should read! I read it and couldn't stop talking about it. My sister read it, (just to shut me up) then we both couldn't stop talking about it, so my husband read it,...of course he couldn't stop either so my mom just finished it! It is truly an amazing book. Wally Lamb writes about real people, not good people or bad people, but people with real problems, who make both good and bad choices. I fell in love with the Birdsey twins, literally laughing and crying with them! Dominick Birdsey (recently divorced and miserable) finds himself dealing with his insane twin brother, Thomas. The ever-religious Thomas saws off his hand in a public library. As Dominick trys to help his brother through the aftermath, he finds that maybe he and Thomas are not so different afterall.

Clever book....enjoyed the comparisons and the irreverence.

I'm sorry to say, this book really didn't do it for me :-(

Nichts aufregendes, eher etwas für ruhige Stunde. Es geht um die letzten Stunden eines Restaurants, und dem Autor gelingt es diese genau und mit der angemessenen Melancholie zu beschreiben. Dadurch wird es allerdings nicht spannender. Wer sich aber darauf einlässt wird ein wunderbares und schönes Leseerlebnis haben, wer das nicht macht hat wahrscheinlich eine schöne Einschlafhilfe.
