I read the book after the movie, like most everyone else, and was bored. I think it was missing Ryan Gosling...

I liked this book. I would have preferred a little more romance (too little, too late) and a little less self-pity and angst from the main character, but I appreciated the central concept -- Haley's spiritual and psychological journey/transformation. It would be wonderful if all women had friends like the Trophy Wives!
