Bir kısım yaramazlık, bir kısım uyarıcı masal itaat ve disiplin. Klasik Seuss.
Brilliant, a bit disappointed that it isn't as big as all the other books you see now-a-days, but it was really good, an interesting mixture, everything happened from start to finish straight away all the way through, quite refreshing really. The characters were brilliant, although in the second book I'm quite interested to see how the trials go (It's going to be epic >xD). Xan now I don't even have words for him, I love the story behind Donna and her arms, and the Maker, I'd love to here more from him and his inventions in the next book. Looking forward to a lot of things in the next book, this one has been fun! I wish it went longer, but hey there's always the next book, well written. *re-read it again! :D I've started the second book!!! 8/11/12
I LOVED this book!!!
This involves a lot of Templar history and certainly challenges basic beliefs of Christianity, but lacks credibility. Parts of it put me to sleep. This is not one of the best of Berry's novels. The plot is contrived--what little there is of it--and relies on too much explanation. The characters are stiff, just names, as is the dialogue. The action drags--little about the books seems original. I'd probably pass on it, given another choice.
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. Large personality changes from one book to the other in this series. This book would have probably been better had I not read His Son's Teacher first. Jennifer changed completely and became very whiny, controlling, and unforgiving. Really destroyed my liking of her and almost stopped His Son's Teacher from being one of my top favorite books. I am just going to pretend that this book didn't exist. The main romance is good but it took a backseat to my frustration and that is the reason I rate this two stars.
