The book of "Frankie Murphy's Kiss List" by Donna Guthrie is the story of betting about kiss. The boy who moved from Philly brags that he can has kissed many girls before. Travis thinks that it is false, so he plans the bet that will Frankie is able to kiss every six grade's girls or not. If Frankie can do, Travis has to give his favorite jacket to him. At first, Travis does not expect that Frankie can kiss all 6 grader of girls because there is Penelope who is a little bit strange. However, Frankie is close to her and actually kisses at the skating link when everyone watching them. He also kisses another girl on the same day. Later, Frankie kisses six girls except Annie who is the best friend of Travis. As the Frankie kissing to girls, he worries that he might lose the bet because Frankie kisses girls really well. One day, Mrs. Garvy settles the role for preparing the graduation, and Frankie and Annie are close to each other because they have the same committee of setting of stage. When Travis watches the scene of Frankie and Annie talking, he feels uncomfortable. At first, he just feels jealous because Annie is not next to him but later he realizes that he really like her. Travis tries to lose the bet to prevent Frankie kisses to Annie, and after that Travis talks to Annie about kiss list. Then, he plans to get revenge to Frankie by making button which says "Frankie Murphy is the world's worst kisser" by asking help to girls who are kissed by Frankie. I think this story is interesting because it tells that controlling others' minds is jerk. In this story, Frankie has the roles of deceiving girls by pretending he likes them. He thinks it is cool and he proud of it but actually it just hurt someone's heart. Travis notices that during bet, so I think he can learn that deceiving is bad thing but for Frankie, he still believes that he is cool because he can kiss with many girls even though he does not really like them. This book shows how people are fool when they pretend as cool and finally Frankie is overthrown by girls, so this is interesting book to read.
