As far as a mystery, it's a bit predictable (if I can call the ending, then I consider it predictable). As far as meta-, fan-fiction goes, it's a lot of fun.

The same author as Horse Whisperer: he is a great storyteller. Nothing fancy or special about his writing but I think he picks interesting subjects. It is an easy romance read and I really enjoyed it.
