Odd Thomas is probably my current favorite literary character. I love these books and the protagonist. Dean Koontz never fails to bring out something interesting and thought-provoking. I could spend a lifetime immersed in the world of Odd.

I will be honest and say that I did not think I was going to like this book. I had seen it many times at the store and could just never bring myself to buy it. However, once my Aunt recommended it and gave it to me I read it in less then a day. This is a very unique book and I can see how many people could dislike it. The thing is that I feel like it is interesting in a new way and opens a lot of doors and possibility in the literary world. I never would have read something like this before.

The main character was ultimately much more mature than chick lit heroines usually are, which won it an extra star.
