This was a nice story. Really, just a story. It's been a long times since I could say "oh, that's a nice story" and mean it without being snarky, but it didn't effect me at all. It didn't make me reflect on my life or the lives of the characters. Also, it was so straight a narrative line that I felt there there were no conflicts, no points of action. Just a nice read on the crappy train rides home.

It took me a while to get into this book.

One that I loved to read as a kid. I vividly recall being so excited when my Mom got it for me.
