I'm very let down by this book. Nothing much happens, On reflection i think there are teeny tiny hints of Tess in the main character but without the oomph of Hardy's writing. I'm usually a huge fan of Meg Rosoff which I why I'm so dissapointed I think. The story plods along nicely with some good descrption but to be honest I didn't really care what happened to the characters in the end.
