Joyful reading during a week in which I was laid out with the flu. Having visited the Isle of Skye a few years ago, I felt an immediate affinity with this story of a family vacationing off of the coast of Scotland. Woolf lingers on each sentence, weaving together several thoughts with an elegant use of punctuation. Best read in one or two sittings.
