Huge Brown shout-out but underwhelming.

So isn't she still amazing? At 80+ and she can still draw me into her characters' lives, motives, murders. I just looked at her photo on the back cover and she reminds me of the actress who first played Tommy's wife (Elizabeth George's series on tv's Mystery). Wonderfully engaging face.

It has something of a Regency novel flavor, but it's long and twisty and has evil fairies. Plus, there are footnotes! I love novels with footnotes.

A short novel (only 70 pages) who let you with the desire to read more. This the second enstallment in the Hoosier Werewolf series who tells the stories of the three Parks brothers, human, and of their werewolves mates. In the first enstallment Ethan was mated with Crewe and at the end of the book, the second brother, Duncan, meets a friend of Crewe, Chad. Duncan is a college student outspoken and friendly. But he has a boyfriend with a secret: he is a drug dealer, and to divert the police from him, leaves drugs in Duncan's apartment. Ducan is arrested and Chad, a lawyer, help him to go out of jail. But from that moment, Chad wants let go Duncan no matter what does it costs: he his is mate, and he wants to make his claim. Chad is so controlled in his everyday life than wild in bed: and Duncan is willing to sate his mate. At the end of this book, the third brother, Nick, meets his mate, the alpha of the pack, Lucas.
