This stands as my all-time favorite book - I've probably read it 3 or 4 times. It takes some effort and time to get into it, but it really comes together in an amazing way in the end. I always tell people that it's a struggle to stay with it at first, but so worth it.

Let me start off by saying that I loved the other books by this duo, unfortunately, "Dash & Lily's Book of Dares" just didn't live up to my expectations. Surprising, considering that The Strand was a huge part of the story, as well as many literary references, but it just didn't quite get there as far as I'm concerned. Lily, for whatever reason, was not as likable as one would think, but that didn't stop me from hoping her young romance with Dash would bloom. Side characters were too obvious and overplayed in the parts they were forced into...leading to some uncomfortable moments I'm sure were suppose to come off as humorous. However, it was a quick and humorous read, and worth the few hours of reading (but just barely).

This is a great play if you enjoy being just a bit disturbed. The action centers around a doctor who is treating a mentally ill teenage boy who is believed to have done some nasty things to some horses. This play should really be seen in performance in addition to reading the script, but isn't that always the case? Reading and seeing this play takes theatrical balls, so don't approach if you don't have them.

What happen if you fall in love with your best friend? No problem if you are a woman and he is a man. But if you are a gay guy and he is a straight guy, maybe troubles are coming. Jay is a little, tiny guy with an Angel shape who always has been in love with Dean, is neighboormate. When Dean knows about Jay's feelings he decides to try this thing, to makes love to Jay and sees what happen... Sex is wonderful and maybe a life together will be. But Dean is not gay, he is a womanizer, he loves women very much. And feels disgust if another man proves interest in him, but if this man is Jay, he feels only lust, and maybe love. Could he feels love for Jay, no matter what genre he is? Dean is an hunk man, with a dominant behaviour... and Jay is happy to loose control. I like very much this book. The way in which Dean approaches his feelings for Jay, how he understands that maybe is not only lust who draws him to Jay... The sex scenes are exciting, the book is very centered on the Dean figure, how he wonders why he enjoys so much sex with Jay, even if he is not gay... http://elisa-rolle.livejournal.com/22...

Wow. For a YA novel ( I'm still a new YA reader) This book totally grasped my attention. I fell in love with the cover art and ordered it into the library as soon as I could. I got totally lost in it and just powered through the whole book. I absolutely loved the mansion setting. I felt like I could totally picture the wives floor and could feel the intensity of how the sister wives felt so trapped. I loved the moments they interacted with each other and absolutely loved how Gabriel ( although we didn't hear from him enough) and Rhine's relationship just happened. It didn't feel forced at all, it just seemed natural. I simply cannot wait for book 2. I hope its still exciting and we see the characters of Rhine and Gabriel develop more now that they are outside the prison that was the mansion. I hope Vaughn's experiments become known to all and he dies a miserable death! I also hope Bowen and Cecily make it out of there alive! Nothing like a little dystopian fantasy to relight my reading fire! I hear it's supposed to rain here for a while again which is great because I have so much reading to catch up on. Today is overcast and the air is refreshing so I am going to go for a nice walk while I can :)
