Can't believe this has sat on my bookshelf for so long. Excellent debut, loads of twists which is the way I like it. Off to find more by this author.

I guess three's a charm. I tried twice before to get through this, but was able on the third try. Too much detail on the renovations and wine. I would rather read a good travel memoir that focused more on the sights and the food. This cannot compare to one of my favorite travel books - Without Reservations: the Travels of an Independent Woman.
