Delightful illustrations and a great lesson to "don't jusge a book by its cover."

Good book! And I read it just in time for the second one, which just came out!

Not as good as I was expecting, maybe because the main character was annoying. Some interesting themes, but the plot wasn't hugely well developed or interesting. I guess the plotting was for a trilogy, but I just didn't feel like enough happened in this first one to hook me for the rest of the trilogy.
