I was surprised at how involved I got with this story.--Especially considering the topic. This book definately gives the reader a lot to ponder.
Fight Club is well-written, but it is quite dark, and it really offers no hope to the reader as it continues on. I was disappointed with the end of the book because it lacks, so to speak, the light at the end of the tunnel. I think Palahniuk did this on purpose, with the intention of being different than mainstream fiction, but it was much too depressing for me.
