I actually got all teary-eyed when I finished it because I didn't want it to end. I actually re-read it from cover to cover twice in one week hoping I had missed a chapter, or even just a page somewhere.

The most poetic non-fiction that I have ever read, the journalistic narrative of bordering crossing through The Devil's Highway is not only beautiful writing, it is also culturally pertinent. Whichever side of the immigration debate you land on, this book is an essential read.
