Despite the 1 star, this book is worth reading. It really made me think about a global issues and the harm the U.S. is doing to the rest of the world. And about how terrible a person John Perkins seems to be. Perkins fails both at life and at exposing the true nature and actions of EHMs and others involved in their economic suppression of struggling nations and cultures. Instead of accepting his actions as an EHM as ruthless and devastating and explaining the actions' full ramifications, he instead chose to focus on the guilt that constantly nagged him (cough yeah right), his difficult decision to quit the field and go about making the world a better place (by making a ton of money as an "expert witness", an EHM consultant and an author). Can't wait to read his follow up!
