I am Rob Fleming (Gordon, if you're referencing the film, of course). I do not know if there is a single character in all of literature that I identify with more than Rob, and I don't know whether that is a good thing. Sometimes (oftentimes) I feel like nothing more than a physical manifestation of Top Fives, pop music and relationship neuroses. Hornby writes with with film structure in mind, which leads to a formulaic feel, but he has a clean style and a genius for extraordinary yet believable dialogue. High Fidelity is not one of the best books I've read, but it is certainly one of my favorites.
