Great, great, great.

I quite liked the first section and second section of the book dealing with Sashenka herself. While I couldn't stop turning the pages in the third section, wanting to find out just what had happened to her and her children, it was less revelatory than the other sections and I actually figured out one of the big plot twists fairly early. I did really like all the period detail, but there were times I felt the book could have done with a little bit of trimming down.
