The Agatha Raisin series by M.C.Beaton is one of my favorite adult series. Cranky self-centered Agatha is a hoot. In this book she solves the mystery of two seemingly unrelated deaths, murders, in a neighboring English village with all the usual troubles that only Agatha can encounter.
