Enjoyable thriller with enough research to render a compelling atmosphere. But I did not find anything more to the book than that. Does not seem worth a second read, unless you really need to absorb the details of medieval monastic life. Nevertheless, if it is a thriller you want, the pacing is good, the twists are well thought out, and you'll find plenty of suspense and tension throughout. Writing is good too.
