I won this book in a give-a-way and was very excited to start reading. The book is mostly conversations between charactors. Those conversations are dull and they tend to be very similar to the next intercourse. The best descriptions of charactors are Ludwig, Rolf, and Viktorya (though she is only in the second half of the book) - oh and THE MOLE guy. There were many other charactors that I didn't get a good mental image of . Having a woman called "pretty" while flirting does not tell me much. I am left to guess that everyone in the town looks good except The Mole. I do like a lot of the ideas. The Mole could have had his own book - or perhaps told story from sheriff's P.O.V. trying to solve all the different cases/calls while trying to get laid. Now Rolf was an interesting creature - I would have liked to know him better - what did he and Vik do all those years they were together, how did Ludwig meet him? I would have liked to see deeper into the wolfman's mind. I have not read THE CHEROKEE MURDERS - I believe that I would have understood the mini-dramas better if I had.

A enjoyable short story (only 16 pages). A change over story: cause first Zach is the beta male and Nate the alpha, but then Nate feels the necessity to be a slave in a D/S game, and so is up to Zach to fill the master's position. And to add spicy to the story, Nate is a werewolf... I like very much the werewolves (one of my fovourite is Out there in the night by Laura Baumbach). http://elisa-rolle.livejournal.com/12...
