To say I enjoyed this book is wrong. It was an experience from the beginning. It took me on a roller coaster of feelings. My heart broke for Ma and Jack at different times for different reasons. Their struggles together and independently were horrific. I can only imagine the fear, loneliness and isolation they felt from the world and one another at times. I am drained emotionally after reading this book. It is a great read though and I am glad I read it.
