If you do not like foul language, including seeing the "F-Word" on every line of each page of this book, then this book is not for you. Other than that I found this book pretty entertaining - and mindlessly was able to open up and read a chapter - all before I had finished brushing my teeth or waiting for my food to heat up it the microwave. I didn't have to pick it up and wonder, "Now what was going on again" because I was in a new chapter and a new easy story to follow along. But most of all I liked the "father-isms" that were presented in between each chapter. Some of them reminded me of my father, or grandfather - well, without all the swearing though. I love grumpy old men and the things that come out of their mouths and for that reason, I liked this book.
25 years later and this discourse is still incredibly relevant. Television has certainly played a huge roll in placating the masses. Postman's ideas of the media charged church hurting spirituality certainly ring true in many of my experiences.
