I think Lorrie Moore is a great writer and have really enjoyed her books, including this one -- but this is my least favorite of hers so far. Still, it was so wonderfully written that it wasn't until after I was well into the story that I began to think of it as pretty flawed -- aspects of the main character and her decisions especially. But the writing is amazing -- lyrical, deft, humourous -- worth overlooking the story's shortcomings to marvel at her skill and enjoy her insights.

I couldn't finish it it was too boring. I got 1/2 way through it.
