Zor ama önemli bir okuma. ABD'de yaşamak için çok minnettar olmalıyız.

Çok şiddetli. Son derece saygısız. Efsanevi.

Quite different from the film. I'd love to reread this. EDIT: reread in 2013. The first of many books I read where the heroine insta-got the boy because she seemed moody. distant, troubled and touched by something otherworldly. Gah! Today, I don't think there's any way a YA book would get published basically missing its ending: telling the reader what would happen but not actually showing the action. They changed the plot dramatically for the movie and gave it a happy, tidy ending with everything explained. The scene where Jan and her father sit in the glassed-in den and see the universe through the Watcher's eyes, via their television, was the one I remembered most strongly from reading this book as a child.

Loved this book, it weaves a story through time and works in the karma.

This is one of my favorite short story collections. Orringer is a talented writer and I can't wait for her next publication. A lot of these stories have kids or teenagers as main characters. YA lovers will greatly enjoy this book, even though most of the tales deal with sadder topics than the typical YA fare. Beautiful writing!
