The story is just as mind-numbing and meandering as its summary. I would be more likely to recommend driving around for a township of the same name, regardless of its proximity to the potential reader, than punish someone with this story. If you are under the age of 13, then you will have about seven hours of uninterrupted entertainment, assuming you can withstand any length of time entrenching yourself in any one of the characters. And the characters - they are as deep as a puddle, but their tangled web of quizzical drama seems to pull you across miles of what-the-hell desert. For a first novel, I have nothing but kudos and admiration; as for any future efforts, please sever this limb of science-fiction drama before it becomes a gangrenous infection.
