Hmm... The construction of the novel's narrative was nice, with backflashes sparked by oddities found in the book being conserved to follow the story of the book's travels. This was quite interesting. But the book as a whole was a bit dissatisfying. The love story aspect was pointless. At the end a major clue to the book's is discovered -- it's very hard to believe that was overlooked in the first place. An enjoyable enough read, but not a keeper.
