I read this in the 10th grade, drawn to it by teenage angst and suburban restlessness. It opened up my impressionable mind to the idea of a life lived freely and adventurously without the thought of consequence and forever sealed my fate with the city of San Francisco. I then loaned the book to one of my best friends who, upon completion, unloaded his savings account and ran away to New York. This, too, could happen to you.

This is a really good book to tell scary stories from. All o the stories were good, and were never boring.
