It presented several theories about economics and how the causes we believe aren't actually the causes. One of the more unsettling theories is the idea that the reason why crime went down during the eighties and nineties (most notably, New York) was not because of the Broken Window policy, but because women who might have birthed criminals were getting abortions. Yeah. That threw me completely because to be honest... WTF? The writer said that he had no intentions of saying that abortions should be used as a eugenics type program or that not all women who have abortions will have criminals, or the implication that women who have abortions are ones who have a slightly higher chance of birthing criminals. Yeah. W. T. F. He has other theories that pan out a bit better, but overall, I couldn't help but look at this with a narrowed eye. Sure, maybe I'm being too PC, but dude, this guys doing the same thing he claims others are doing. By looking at statistics, anyone can manipulate data and quite possibly, that was what he did.
