I know i'ts probably some sort of sacrilege for me to only give this two stars, but... I just couldn't get into it. I feel like it was a novel of ideas; every so often there would be a passage I really liked, but it was all buried under a fairly convoluted plot. Also I felt like the ending made no sense... I didn't really understand the characters' motivations for anything that happened at the end. At least the last part was a little more exciting, plot-wise, but it's so back-loaded that it's difficult to even get to that point. I consider it an achievement just to have finished.
